Thundering Dawn: Thundering Dawn is an odd show that has been going for 20 seasons now a joint British and American production[By Zilon Corp the Wexel family buisness] that cycles through cast members like there's no tomorrow, it's main focus is adventure but has hints of other genres in it and throughout the genre tragedy has struck many a time in this tv series. This series has featured many deaths especially of the main character who is often reborn in a new body and person. Season often featuring two versions of the main haracter in ddiffrent eras with a connecting story/theme.
However the most shocking deaths come from the friends of the main character. Oliver joined this show in season 16 originally a short roll being the only character to notice something wrong at the time, becoming increasingly important in a very tragic and dark plotline that ran throughout seasons 16 and 17, it was a surprise to many when Oliver renewed the contract in season 18, but the biggest shock came from what happened in the first few episodes. A Big shake up of the series had been promised and it came, in the most tragic episode written the main character finally died for real, not only that he was wiped from everyone's memories all his lives, a montage followed his death. Oliver took over starring role as the main character and has been ever since It was said to be a risky move due to the huge popularity of the actor playing the main character and the very vocal fanbase. But Oliver was instantly shown as different main character and being a popular actor himself helped along with a very big words of luck and faith from the previous acor that stopped most complaints.
Season 1[ The Storm]: The Winter part of the season focused on Ancient egypt as a setting and the modern era, it’s not clear until the Winter finale that the character is actually the same person as we are seeing in ancient egypt. The Story starts mainly with Conner and few friends and the first time we see him die is the winter finale, it is during this season the arc is set and we meet the people whose lives Conner in his many different lives will, the villain of the arc stays in the shadows for this season but is constant threat throughout. This Season is considered the simple season more based on Conner’s confusion on his memories and lives. The Summer part of this season kept the focus on the Modern era while moving us to another part of Ancient egypt, their a slight upping of the stakes as thing come to ahead in both eras. The Promised Storm reaches its peak in the finale.
Season 2:[ The Fire]: In season two we are Introduced to the unpredictable man known only by the name of Cameron Mentz[Special Guest Star Hugh Jackman] who would become an important mentor to Conner and he surprisingly survives this season after many close calls, he is also seen contacting an offscreen ally who isn’t revealed in this season. A lot of his season is a focus on Conner’s development, while the first half of the season focuses on the aftermath of the promised storm. The second half of the season seems to have a focus across three different Eras each with each of Conner’s selves given the codeword fire, it’s explained in the 2nd to last episode of the season the each version of Conner forgot the codeword after what those two learned, Conner eventually ends up making a grave mistake with codeword in the last episode not understanding it [and having forgotten the information ]unleashing a vicious Ancient Beast upon The Modern era.
Season 3 [ The Beast’s Rage]: The Dawn of the Beast was the opening episode of this season and was said to be the scariest episode of the time and still hold up well after all these years, though many of the episodes of season 8 are said to be on par with or even scarier than this episode. The Episode is widely known for having to air after the watershed as it dark Humour as well as the torture of a character and mental torture of another. The well known actor Theo Weeks debuts as the voice of the beast, [ Oliver Weeks Father]. The beast would be a prominent non human villain throughout this season, while the Conner in the modern era must contend with the beast and the consequences of releasing it, another version also born in ancient Egypt must follow instructions from a mysterious source to find key information on a group called The Silent Dawn which has a connection to the Beast. After a devastating midseason finale in which we lose the brother of Conner’s romantic interest Jessie Wicks, leading to the second half of the season to a missing Mentor, Jessie Wicks taking it on herself to fix the problems as Conner spends a lot of time trying to piece himself together after what happened. This season ends in the near death of Jessie Wicks but instead Conner sacrifices his first modern Era self and in the process thanks to the efforts of the Conner in Ancient Egypt gains the means to defeat the beast through resurfaced memory that had been repressed. This season though ends on The Question of what did Conner in Ancient egypt find at the Temple of Silent dawn and Will the Beast be defeated?
Season 4[The Silent Dawn] : Season 4 saw the end of what would be known as the first in a long line of epic story arcs. Everything we have seen in previous seasons has been working up to this, The Storm and the beast were said to be the distraction to the countdown that began ticking in the first episode of the first season[seen many times in other episodes since]. sadly the main character himself is ignorant of the countdown. Only three people talk about it in the beginning three episodes each one designed to focus on them with a new reborn version of Conner in the modern Era trying to adjust and reform his memories. This time instead of the Ancient Egypt Conner we are introduced to a Conner in Ancient Rome, one who has found himself at the Temple of the Silent Dawn sneaking and listening. The first episode is focused on missing mentor Cameron Mentz[Special Guest Star Hugh Jackman], who seems to be to be in a bit of predicament with one of the recurring villains, this episode gives us information that the countdown is connected to the Silent Dawn a plan that has been in motion for centuries. we don't actually find out that much before he escapes in a spectacular chase scene.
The second episode is focused on Jessie Wicks, here we see the aftermath of the battle with the Beast and it is not pretty, she believes Conner has given his life to cage instead of banish the beast, the beast is held in some sort of prison in the middle of the city, unable to get out and as she soon finds out only she can see it. We are also given information that she knows about the countdown having seen it in dream, this episode is just her talking to the beast[who is silent due to the unavailability of Theo Weeks] it his here we find that part of the plan if or simultaneous new dawn in each era, through some sort of special time crystal, she refers to the new dawn as time wide blank canvas. At the end of the episode she sets out in search of the temple following her heart unaware that her heart would in a later episode draw her to Conner[which as we well know she doesn’t know is her Conner but falls for him anyway.]
The Third episode of the season is actually focused on the the recurring villain we saw in Cameron Mentz’s episode. It also becomes apparent that though he talks to the villain in the shadows he is not actually working for him. Itis here we are given the final piece of the puzzle on what the Silent dawn really is. However this episode doesn’t deliver the exposition until after some very heavy action, with a fight between the villain and an unknown hooded lady who as we learn belongs to some sort of secret organization.[The Order of Time in later seasons]
Due to the inability of the Reborn Modern Era Conner to be anything but useless and alone we the early part of the season finds its heavily involved in the Conner of Ancient Rome as we watch him infiltrate the ranks of the The Silent Dawn, the Conner of the ancient Rome knows what plan is and also able to tell the answer that the egyptian Conner got. The Gilded stones are finally introduced in the mid season finale, the first one having been used for this plot. Ancient Romes conner soon finds out he can not stop the Coming wipe due to their needing to be two Conners in two different eras to be able to stop it. It is fortunate then that cameron mentz was able to meet back up with the new Modern Era Conner and in a very jaw dropping battle up the high seas Conner gets his memories and power back. The Second half of the season is high on tension and was written to make the audience feel strapped for time, as any delay in the heroes plans as they came closer to the final showdown would've been catastrophic. The season arc ends with what only can be described as a battle taking place in two different time Zones, and would see the first use of Limbo in which The Conner’s battle side by side to destroy the matter form o thef power source of the Silent dawn. though in the process let the villain escape. The Season and Arc ends on a high note, and is considered to be one of the only arcs that didn’t have some sort of high price.
Season 5 [The Calm] The calm was the beginning of what would seem like a brighter and lighter season arc
A Calmer Lighter Season which hid the coming story arc well until the last four episode’s hiding it in plain sight during the entire season
Season 6 [Friends]:
Season 7: [ Love]
Season 8 [ Destiny] : Season 8 took a sharp and tragic turn in it’s second episode a stark contrast to the early seasons in the story arc, there was no happy ending here.
Season 9 [ The Following]: Season 9 brought about the start of a more complex arc though only two seasons long it is considered one of the better arcs.
Season 10: [Lost souls]: This season was the end of its shortest arc yet, but also saw the end to a long recurring villain just five episodes in, and the is celebrated for introducing next season arc while the old one was still going.
Season 11:[ Bleeding out] This season is the smallest of the seasons due to a writers strike but picks up towards the end second story arc, this season ends with what is thought of as some very important characters about to bite the bullet. This is the first season in which the main character Conner does not make an appearance
Season 12: [The Beginning]: Step two in the story arc was going back to the beginning, but it was a part that had to take two seasons to get us to the point with season 12 being used to show us why the Conner was missing.
Season 13[ Villain] Much like season 12 we are taken back to the beginning but this time we are following a rather well known villain that has not been seen during the shows second story arc.
Season 14[ The Twist in the tale ] It is in this season where we find out more about Conner’s condition and as we come to the end of the story arc, Conner must make a terrible sacrifice one that has repercussions in later seasons
Season 15: [Coma]: The next story arc is a one season story arc, this story is fast paced giving off an urgent feeling as three of our longest running characters are set to die, this is the first season where we are set purely in the modern era, as well as our first introduction to the dream worlds.
Season 16[The Awakening]: With old friends dead and his best friend without a memory of him, Conner finds the the Order of time folding in on itself, but has he finally found the key in the form an odd teen Samuel Karn[ Special guest star Oliver Weeks] to awakening the sleeping members before it’s too late. -This was supposed to be a two season arc but became the first five season arc that is said to be one of the best the show has done still able to bring the shocks, tragedy and drama and more.
Season 17[Shattered Hearts]: The Order of time has begun to regroup but things are moving faster than was anticipated, in another season in which Conner bearley features he must Contact two friends in two different eras. This season spans a race against time through many eras while back in the space era Samuel Karn [Special Guest star Oliver Weeks] finds himself broiled in an age old mystery that has Conner at the centre of it. This season also features the return of Silas Markos the baby boy of Hadrian Markos from season 3 now a teen[Special guest star Eric Faerish]
Season 18[ Consequences]: A lot was kept hush about this season and the trailers themselves were vague, people became more interested when the poster for the season promised a massive shake up. The
Featuring the real death of the main character and a passing of the torch between two actors.
Season 19[Shadows]: The Consequences of Conner ‘s Actions from season 14 did not only affect Conner, Samuel Karn must face secrets from his own past while battling Conners former demons. This season it was found out the the reason why only samuel can remember many of the previous season's events. Samuel is shown to be a much darker main character than he was last season, things come to a head once more in the space era in this in which Samuel battles the longest running villain in the series[in that he used sparingly and from the shadows] in which the finale ends with the result unknown
Season 20[Bright Skies]: Season 20 has recently been considered the brightest of the seasons, with season 18 and 19 having been spent sifting through the wreckage of what happened in season 17 and the aftermath of Conner Heroks demise. Yet while this season is the brightest there is obviously something dark weighing on Samuels mind, not only that but he has lost his soul due to lasts season finale. This season is the first in which we see Samuel being in more than one era but it comes clear it’s not due to the same affliction as Conner.
Special Halloween Episode- Between Season 20-21: This episode was a special episode that picks up in the dream worlds at the end of season 20. It is in this episode we find out what is weighing on Samuels mind, he is the son of the main series villain something he tells the order of time member Eliza, who vows to keep his secret, in fact she promised, promises made in the dream worlds were always kept. Towards the end of the episode Conner appears, just the last speck of him in existence, the episode ends with Samuel telling him he never needed his help and before the aspect of conner vanishes he warns Samuel of the consequences of what he did to him. The episode finally ends with “should of done it sooner.”
Season 21:[ The Song] The Upcoming season said to see the return of Silas Markos[Special guest Star Eric Faerish] to help set up the beginning of the new Story both due to the story that is being told itself and this season of The Heart of Home filming schedule of extra episodes that Oliver Weeks is starting in, its said he won't be in many episodes of the first half of the season.
